Today my mother started her first chemotherapy treatment. She is feeling good about it. She had to go to the hospital this morning. There she had a little surgery, and a Port-A-Cath was put in. This ensures that the IV does not have to be reinserted every time. This is because some of her lymph glands have been removed. As a result, she is not allowed to have as many IVs. Anyway. After the surgery, the chemotherapy was put in right away. She had to check herself if the IV bags were going through properly. And with each of the 3 bags, her name and date of birth were checked. When I got back from work she was back home, and we enjoyed a Bossche bol.
