Pocketing with Father's Day

Pocketing with Father's Day

It's that time again. I have something again that annoys me. Like the other day with Easter about the commercialism with Easter. Now I'm thinking about the commercialism with Father's Day.

From all sides I am bombarded with gifts for Father's Day. On TV, bus shelters, newsletters in the mailbox, as well as tech news has cool gadgets your dad must have!

The slogans are sometimes very intrusive. The marketer did not take into account that there are also people who no longer have a father. These slogans are then very hurtful. Not everyone can celebrate Father's Day like the other half of people do. I have no static figures to back this up, but I suspect that about half of adults no longer have a father or mother. It must be statistically linked to a certain age.

So instead of trying to make money from this day, it would be better to focus on the reaction that many people give: it's Father's Day every day.
