Saint Catharina Volpicelli

    Today is the feast day of St. Catherine Volpicelli. She is the foundress of the Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Saint Catherine Volpicelli. Here in Soná there is a monastery where the sisters live. I got to attend Mass today and, of course, join the procession.

    The church was beautifully decorated with real flowers. Fun fact: the flowers here have actually wilted after 1 day. Sometimes 2 days. But the climate doesn't allow you to keep flowers good for 10 days like we do in Holland.

    All in all, it was a great day. A really beautiful celebration to experience. Also to pray at her relic, a bone from her left foot. Really very special.
